Nora’s Passion for Quality and Regulatory Compliance

Nora Wellington is CEO / Founder of N Wellington Associates LLC, a Long Term Care Management Consulting Company, specializing in helping Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Nursing Facilities (NFs), Nursing Homes with interim administrator- overall management and operations of the facilities, helping with survey preparedness, with Quality and with attaining and maintaining regulatory compliance with new Federal F-Tags. Wellington has twenty-nine plus (29+) years “Hands-on” licensed nursing home Administrator experience and expertise. During seventeen years in her career as a permanent hands-on administrator for SNFs before she became an entrepreneur and consultant, Wellington’s accomplishment included opening a brand new hospital-based Subacute/Skilled Nursing Facility from scratch. This enabled the hospital meet their strategic plan and expanded its continuum of care to serve the community. She also met the goals of the Medicare & Medicaid annual certification surveys.

As a long term care consultant, Wellington and her team has provided mock surveys, educational in-services, development and implementation of plans of correction, and interim administrator. Her clients included facilities for National Long Term Care organizations, Regional Long term Care Organizations, and Local Long Term care organizations. Wellington works effectively with corporate CEO’s, with Boards of Directors, mid-level management staffs and direct caregivers; and with all staffs. She helped improve and developed leadership skills and team cohesiveness within the department directors for efficiency and effectiveness. She has a passion for her profession, the long term care profession. When consulting as interim administrator, she demonstrates sincere caring for the residents and staff. Wellington obtained her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from George Washington University, and became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 1992. She is a member of DCHCA and LifeSpan Network.

Wellington has authored two books – (1) The Fundamentals of Quality for Long term care, Part 1, and (2) Long Term Care Monitoring Tools Resident Meal Time Dining Experience & Food Service.
