Nora Wellington, MBA, LNHA, Certified INTERACT Champion, is the CEO / Founder of N Wellington Associates LLC, and author of 2 books: Long Term Care Monitoring Tools Resident Meal Dining Experience first published 2012, and co-author The Fundamentals of Quality for Long Term Care, Part 1 published 2010. Wellington has twenty-seven plus year’s hands-on administrator experience and expertise and over 30 years in the long term care industry. She served in permanent nursing home administrator positions in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) for seventeen years before she became an entrepreneur consultant specializing in helping SNFs overall operations, with leadership, survey preparation, regulatory compliance & QAPI. Her management consulting services also include interim administrator, development and implementation of effective Plans of Correction, educational in-services, and leadership development. She is very passionate about patient care, Quality and regulatory compliance, ensuring that the residents/patients receive quality care and quality life in their facilities. She is a hard working consultant, who is dedicated and committed to helping her clients accomplish positive goals for their operations including successful survey outcomes. One of Wellington’s greatest accomplishments early in her career as a nursing home administrator was to lead the team, secure Medicare & Medicaid Certification, and open a brand-new hospital-based SNF for a hospital in Washington, DC when the hospital made a decision to extend its continuum of care.
